Dr. Melvin Bourgeois graduated from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in 1961. He also has a degree in Pharmacy from Loyola University and is licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Pharmacy and the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners. He has been a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians since 1965 and served one term as President of the Louisiana Association of Family Practitioners. He is an MROCC Certified Medical Review Officer and a FAA Senior Aviation Medical Examiner. Dr. Bourgeois served as a member of the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners from 2000 to 2014 and as President of the Board for one year.
Dr. Robert Bourgeois graduated from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in 1983 and has continually been licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners since that time. Prior to his return to Morgan City in 1993, he served as the Medical Director for Martin Marietta (now Lockheed Martin) in Orlando, Florida from 1988 to 1993. He was also a consultant to SeaWorld of Florida and Walt Disney World. In 1996, he received a Master of Public Health in Occupational Medicine from the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Bourgeois served three terms as President of the MidSouth Occupational & Environmental Medical Association. He was Board Certified in Emergency Medicine from 1990 to 2010 and has been Board Certified in Occupational Medicine since 1996. He is a Fellow of the American College of Occupational & Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) and currently serves as the President of the College.
Dr. Mark Boquet graduated from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine New Orleans in 2004 and has continually been licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners since that time. Dr. Boquet is Board Certified in both Family Medicine and Occupational Medicine, training at The Baton Rouge General and University of Pennsylvania, respectively. He has served as a clinical occupational and family medicine physician in Houma, Louisiana from 2007 to 2014. From 2014 to 2019, he served as a Regional Health Director for Southeast United States followed by Chief Health Officer and Global Director of Health Services for The Dow Chemical Company. Dr. Boquet also holds Masters level degrees in Health Care Management from UNO and Public Health from LSUHSC-NO. He has served as two terms as President of the MidSouth Occupational & Environmental Medical Association. He is a Fellow of the American College of Occupational & Environmental Medicine.
David Bourg is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner & Adult-Gerontological Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. He earned his BSN in Nursing from Nicholls State University in 1995 and his Masters from University of South Alabama in 2013. He has served in several nursing roles including ER Charge Nurse, ICU, Stepdown, and Cardiac Rehab. Prior to joining Bourgeois Medical Clinic, he served as a Nurse Practitioner with Edison Chouest Offshore, Premier Health, Teche Regional Medical Center, and Terrebonne General Medical Center. David served with the US Air Force in the 1st Special Operations Wing as all systems qualified helicopter Crew Chief.
